October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You probably have seen ads on TV or BCA walks popping up all over your local area. Even the NFL is involved this month wearing everything from pink chin straps to pink sneakers. Good for them. This month is bound to be all about the PINK, and for good reason.
We are strong supporters of Breast Cancer Awareness & Research.
What is one of the most used office supplies , and can be found on pretty much everyone’s desk? That’s right, it’s your standard stapler. Since this week’s Trivia Tuesday context is being sponsored by the Leitz (Pendaflex) Heavy Duty Stapler, we figured we’d give a lesson in how the stapler came to be. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the links toward the bottom for the great line of Leitz ”not so standard” staplers.
It’s pretty easy to organize your digital life. We create new folders for emails and documents, add categorized bookmark menus, etc….but what about organizing your analog life? All those papers from work or school, CD’s, flash drives, etc…well, now there is a solution!
We have to give a major pat on the back to our friends over at Pilot not only for their innovative products, but for always thinking about Mother Earth. They have a whole line of fantastic products, like the world’s first pen made from recycled plastic bottles, that are eco-friendly. The line is called the Pilot BeGreen line and is the world’s first full line of earth-friendly writing instruments.
Here’s how it works:
All Pilot BeGreen products are composed of at least 70% recycled material and are offered in most of the major writing instrument categories – Gel Ink Rolling Ball, Liquid Ink Rolling Ball, Ball Point, Mechanical Pencil and Permanent Marker – thus the full line of Pilot BeGreen products offers a wide selection of choices that can be part of your everyday commitment to make our planet cleaner and healthier.

These are just cool. Entirely made out of crayons, these sculptures range from animals, to fruit, to abstract art.

Yup…binder clips. They are probably one the top 5 office supplies with the most uses. They can be used pretty much anywhere for so many things.
Here are some of our favorite uses:
- Close up that bag of chips or snacks
- Hold together an item you are adhering while the glue sets
- If you have an herb garden, clip snippets of herbs with a binder clip and hang them to dry on a nail or thumb tack
- Use a mini binder clip as a bookmark
- Clip charger wires for your laptop, cell phone, etc…together with a binder clip so they don’t get tangled in your bag
- Clip together coupons on your way to the grocery store
